I rented an ex-military M998 Humvee for a day!

I recently had the chance to experience an ex-military AM General M998 Humvee. A wartime icon made famous during the Gulf War. A tremendous machine capable of traversing the most treacherous terrain. A menacing beast that inspired a civilian version . A vehicle that became quite vulnerable as guerilla warfare became more prevalent.

Before I got to drive this 1988 Humvee I knew nothing about these vehicles. I did a bunch of research and it turns out they have a pretty interesting history—so I made a video with it! If you have a few minutes to spare, check it out below.

Is this outside Yakima? Because I swear to god, I’ve driven down that exact same road from the beginning of the video when my unit took two wrong turns trying to get there lol.

Funny it looks so similar to Yakima. This is just outside of Los Angeles. Little Tujunga Road.

Haha! Yes that is mine. Glad you enjoyed it. A joke that we took to o far, became internet famous for a minute, and then mostly just sits in my garage. Was fun to dust off the cobwebs and get it out to Radwood.
